Who supplies the vehicles

Who looks at giving me credit

The Vehicle Leasing Expert will collect your information and we will pass to Jarmite. Jarmite will then make a decision on giving you credit. 

What information for credit do i need to provide

Am I tied into a long term contract

No, once the contract period is over, you return the vehicle and you owe us nothing more****. Your rental cannot extend beyond three months, however, providing you have paid your rental payments promptly you will be eligible for future rentals

****You will be responsible for routine service, tyres, fluids and brake materials

Can I cancel

Yes, our rental agreement is flexible. Just give us one months notice and return the vehicle

What am I liable for

Your monthly rental, fully comprehensive insurance policy, fuel and any fines, parking tickets etc. You may have to pay an administration fee if the issuing agency write to us. Otherwise, that's it!!

Do I have to pay road tax or MOT's?

With a rental company, the rental company takes care of this for you. You need to note that you will be responsible for, routine servicing, tyres, fluids and brake materials

What happens if I cannot make a payment

We know that sometimes a serious issue can affect your ability to pay. Should this be the case please contact us immediately. 

Will you deliver my car/van?

Yes, If you cannot collect from Jarmite we will happily arrange for delivery. A delivery charge may apply. Please contact us for details.

Are there any hidden charges

No, we will disclose to you every cost involved. 

About your rental payments

You will be asked to pay an initial application amount of £50 this amount is refundable if for any reason the rental does not proceed.

You will be required to pay an initial payment in advance of collection or delivery of the vehicle, this initial payment is not an advance rental payment, you will be required to pay the initial payment plus your future monthly rentals over the course of your agreement. If you are eligible for future rentals, we will not usually require you to pay a further initial payment.

You will be required to pay rentals of the amounts and at the intervals specified on the rental agreement. Such payments will usually be made by bank standing order unless otherwise agreed.

Failure to make rental payments as due may result in the rental being terminated and the vehicle recovered. This will result in additional costs to you.

How long is the rental period

Our maximum rental term is three months, however, providing you have paid your rental payments promptly you will be eligible for future rentals.

You will be required to return the vehicle to our head office, if you do not return the vehicle to us at the appointed date, we will collect the vehicle at an additional cost.

About the vehicles

Some of our vehicles are used vehicles and whilst we use our best endeavors to ensure the vehicle is fault free you will in entering into the rental agreement on the understanding that faults may occur.

Our vehicles will come with a new MOT and will be covered by a comprehensive warranty and breakdown package provided by an external provider.

Our vehicles are taxed by us.

There is a maximum annual mileage limit, should you be exceeding this on a monthly pro-rate basis we will charge you additional amounts for the extra mileage.

We are not responsible for providing or paying for an alternative vehicle during any period the vehicle cannot be used for whatever reason, if we do provide an alternative vehicle you acknowledge that we are not under any liability to do so nor to provide any particular type or size of vehicle.

Should the vehicle be unusable because of a fault not covered by warranty, and only if we have not provided a replacement vehicle, we will not charge you rental for the days the vehicle is unusable.

We are not responsible for indirect losses which occur, and which are not foreseeable by you and us (such as loss of profits or loss of opportunity).

What are my responsibilities

You are responsible for insuring the vehicle with fully comprehensive cover and must indemnify us against any loss we incur which is not covered by your insurer.

In the event that the vehicle is not insured we have the right to terminate the rental agreement and recover the vehicle which may result in additional costs to you.

You are responsible for standard servicing and wear and tear items such as tyres, brake materials and oil and fluids.

If you return the vehicle with damage or requiring substantial cleaning, you will be responsible for the costs of returning the vehicle to its pre-rental condition.

You will be responsible for all parking offences, speeding offences, tolls, congestion charges and similar penalties and should ensure you deal with all such matters promptly. We will apply administration charges for any of these which we have to deal with on your behalf and will additionally pass your details to the relevant organisations or authorities.

Do you safeguard against theft?

The vehicle will be fitted with a telematics device which will track the vehicles movements, speeds and mileage including locations where the vehicle is parked. We will use the information generated to locate the vehicle, to assess mileage in accordance with the mileage limit, and to monitor for excessive speed contrary to law. In the event of theft, we will be able to locate the vehicle for the Police.

  • Rates advertised do not include: insurance, collection or delivery/collection charges. All offers are subject to availability/change and may be withdrawn at any time without prior notice. T&Cs apply.
  • Mileage and excess charges are calculated on a pro-rata daily basis. 
  • You are required to insure the vehicle with a fully comprehensive policy. The Excess must be no more than £500
  • Only drivers named on the hire agreement may drive the vehicle
  • You must not sub hire the vehicle or allow anyone else to drive the vehicle unless this has been agreed in writing beforehand
  • All parking fines or penalty charges are the responsibility of the hirer. There may be a £50 administration charge should the issuing agency write to ourselves regarding the matter
  • We do not credit score but we will carry out a credit search to help confirm your identity and ensure you are not currently bankrupt.**
